SeeCheck Awareness System

for monitoring vehicle surroundings

SeeCheck Awareness System has been primarily developed for monitoring the close surroundings of military vehicles (e.g. armored vehicles or infantry fighting vehicles - IFVs). It ensures the crew´s safety during dismount and can be used to protect the perimeter of important security objects such as military areas, airports, power plants etc. during the day as well as at night.

The system comprises the following units:*

  • TU-1 operating console,
  • SeeCheck pan device with cameras,
  • AWIR** thermal imaging camera,
  • AWIR D** day/night camera with IR illumination.


* Every part of the system is able to work independently and can be purchased individually.

** Optional configuration. It is possible to combine up to 4 day and/or thermal imaging cameras according to the customer´s needs. 


TU-1 Operating Console

The TU-1 operating console is a robust control unit designed to operate the whole system. It allows the operator to work quickly and effortlessly through the use of side buttons, touch screen and intuitive control software. The unit´s software application offers multiple split-screen view and various features:

  • fusion of images from the thermal imaging and day cameras in the pan device
  • option to create a scanning mode program with own parameters
  • control of the SeeCheck pan device´s position and direction of movement
  • simultaneous display of image from up to three selected cameras with optional switching
  • adjustable settings (brightness, contrast, color rendering) of the thermal imaging camera inside the SeeCheck pan device
  • motion detection in all the individual cameras that form the SeeCheck Awareness system even when the pan device is in scanning mode
  • digital image stabilization in the pan device


SeeCheck Pan Device with Cameras

The system consists of a pan device with two integrated cameras. It enables smooth azimuth guidance to ensure continuous uninterrupted monitoring of the area immediately surrounding the vehicle. Suitable positioning of the system elements provides the widest field of view. 

The SeeCheck pan device contains two cameras with a fixed focal length lens:

  • a day camera with a resolution of 720 TV lines
  • an uncooled thermal imaging camera for night observation


The fields of view of both cameras are optically matched.


AWIR Thermal Imaging Camera

The AWIR uncooled thermal imaging camera is a highly sensitive and reliable camera with a 2.3 mm fixed lens.


AWIR D Day / Night Camera with IR Illumination

The AWIR D day/night camera with IR illuminator is designed for applications that require wide field observation and high sensitivity during varying light conditions. This camera is capable of conveying a very sharp and detailed image thanks to its high horizontal resolution of 720 TV lines. The built-in IR illuminator helps capture an equally clear image in low illumination. Its 2.8 mm lens offers an exceptionally wide field of view.
