Imaging system for vehicle surroundings

AWIR or Awareness system is a complex system, consisting of a various combinations of day/night cameras used for monitoring of a vehicle surroundings, during the crew’s dismount, to ensure its safety. All the camera systems are connected to a single operating console TU-1 to ensure a transparrent and easy manipulation with the whole system.

Monitoring system SeeCheck is designed as a complete system of both day and IR cameras in a single chasing, allowing a 350° azimuth rotation to ensure a continuous monitoring of the vehicle’s surroundings. The system is provided with a possibility of a fusion of IR and daylight image to use the advantages of both sensor types at the same time.

AWIR is a high sensitive, reliable, uncooled long wave thermal camera with 2.3 mm fixed lens. It is provided with a 2×, 4× and 8× digital zoom and digital detail enhancement feature.
The camera is equipped by 320×256 resolution detector with 12 micron pixel size, able to detect human target at 220 m range.
The camera body is highly ruggedized, able to work in a huge temperature range and in every weather condition and complies with criteria of EN 61000, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.

AWIR-D is designated for applications with a need of wide field of view surveillance with a high sensitivity for both day and night vision.
The camera is equipped with a 1/3“ Picadis chip with a high image quality and a 2.8 mm lens for an exeptionally wide field of view.
The camera body is highly ruggedized, able to work in a huge temperature range and in every weather condition and complies with criteria of EN 61000, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.

  • control of the display unit via function buttons or a touchscreen,
  • display of the image information from the selected module,
  • control of the positioning unit,
  • switching of the image from individual modules to display monitors,
  • parameters settings of IR modules (brightness, contrast, colour pallets, digital zoom),
  • creation of "scanning" modes,
  • fusion of the IR a CCD image,
  • addition of digital image stabilization for the system usage during a ride.
