Awareness system SeeCheck

for monitoring of vehicle surroundings

Awareness system SeeCheck is a complex system used for monitoring of a vehicle surroundings to ensure its safety during the crew’s dismount.

This system comprises:

  • TU-1 operating console,
  • SeeCheck pan device with sensors,
  • AWIR thermal imaging camera*,
  • AWIR D day / night camera with IR illumination*.

* Optional configuration. It is possible to combine up to four day and / or thermal imaging cameras according to customer's request.


TU-1 operating console

TU-1 console is a robust control unit designed to operate the SeeCheck pan device with sensors and up to four additional cameras. The side buttons, the touch screen and the intuitive control software allow the operator to operate easily and quickly. The installed SW application displays three videos and offers various features:

  • display of the image information from the selected module,
  • control of the unit position,
  • image switching from individual modules to the display,
  • parameters settings of IR module in SeeCheck device (brightness, contrast, colour pallets),
  • creation of "scanning" modes,
  • control of TU-1 console via function buttons or a touchscreen,
  • fusion of thermovision and CCD image from SeeCheck device,
  • digital image stabilization from SeeCheck device.


Pan device with sensors SeeCheck

System consists of pan device with integrated sensor modules called SeeCheck. The pan device with the sensors allows smooth azimuth guidance to ensure continuous monitoring around the entire vehicle. Appropriate positioning of pan device ensures maximum viewing angles.

The sensor part of SeeCheck device comprises a day and night observation branch:

  • the day branch consists of a CCD module resolution with 650 TV lines with a fixed focal length lens,
  • the night branch consists of an uncooled thermal imaging module equipped with a fixed focal length lens.

The field of view of both modules is optically matched.


AWIR Thermal Imaging Camera

An uncooled thermal camera called AWIR is a highly sensitive and reliable camera with a 2.3mm fixed lens. It serves to observe the surroundings of the vehicle during the crew's off-set to ensure its safety mainly at night.


AWIR D Day / Night Camera with IR illumination

Day / night camera with IR illuminator called AWIR D is designed for wide-field observation applications with high sensitivity in day / night conditions. The 2.8 mm lens offers the unusually wide picture capability. To reproduce a very bright and detailed image, the camera achieves a high horizontal resolution of 720 TV lines.
